Garda lake’s natural SPA

Relax in natural hot water pools, surrounded by centenary trees and beautiful lawns, less than 20 minutes drive from Peschiera and Sirmione, and for a very reasonable price? Yes you can, in the Parco termale del Garda (“Garda Thermal Park”)!

Terme del Garda

The Garda Thermal Park is not a traditional health spa at all (if this is what you are looking for, you have many options in the Garda Lake area:  http://www.lakegarda.com/wellness-spa-beauty-farm.php).

On the contrary, it’s much closer to a mountain lake surrounded by lush woods, but with hot water!

After a full day visit (or bike tour to beautiful Borghetto sul Mincio), this is a fantastic place to spend a couple of hours or even a full day. If you travel with kids, they will just love this place (tested: I went there with my 9 years old son!)

The lake is roughly 5,000 m2 and is equipped for hydromassages of various kinds, fountains etc. It is lit in the evening so bathing at night is also possible.

The water of the Villa dei Cedri, the source of which lies at a depth of approximately 160 metres, flows at a temperature of roughly 37°C and, reportedly, is useful in the prevention of arteriosclerosis  and of a number of cutaneous pathologies and imperfections.

The main lake also features a Grotto (artificial…), equipped with a full set of powerful hydro massages. You can see the entrance in this picture, I did’t bring my Nikon inside!

The park hosts amazing trees, including two-hundred-year -old sequoias.
